Missed the mark

I thought I was making a good decision buying this desktop, I have an HP laptop that has not given me any trouble and with the specifications that this new machine has it should blow away a 6 year Gateway desktop running XP. But it has been a disappointment. It took me almost half a day to create my own recovery discs. I ran into numerous error messages trying to use a new DVD burner, oh yea the LightScribe program doesn't work. I followed the instructions to order recovery discs but the website that I was directed to would allow me to download a few misc drivers but nothing for recovery discs. I am dreading the tech support call to India. You would not believe the amount of garbage software aka trial software especially from HP.
